The Initiative Covered Educational, Digital, and Leadership areas

Around 2000 Participants attended Abu Dhabi School of Government Ramadan Webinars in support of the continuous learning and development in Abu Dhabi

 

In light of the Department of Government Support role in empowering a workforce ready to keep pace with Abu Dhabi’s government future, the Abu Dhabi School of Government, the platform for developing workforce competencies, concluded the "Ramadan Initiatives" 2021. The webinars in educational, digital and leadership areas were offered throughout the holy month to support continuous personal and professional development.

The three webinars, "DigitalFAST," "TeachBACK," and "One-Power-Hour," focused on enhancing the learning's culture, continuous development, the digital future, and knowledge sharing in support of Abu Dhabi's efforts in building a sustainable knowledge economy. An elite group of speakers and leaders in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi government as well as in developing digital, leadership, and educational competencies in Abu Dhabi participated in the webinars attended by around 2000 participants.

Commenting on the initiative, H.E. Sumaya Al Hosani, ADSG Dean, praised the wide participation of several sectors in the Ramadan 2021 initiatives, especially as it aimed to diversify the digital knowledge of its participants and share experiences and knowledge to enhance the digital transformation in line with the aspirations of Abu Dhabi's future vision. Al Hosani revealed that the initiative would continue after the end of Ramadan. “ADSG’s strategy to develop human competencies in the emirate will continue to enhance access to an advanced and modern work environment.

Dr. May Laith Altaee, Learning Technology and Innovation Director at ADSG, indicated the remarkable variety in the topics especially digital learning and sharing experiences and skills which constitute ADSG pillar goals to support learning and innovation plans in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Altaee explained that the transfer of knowledge and the generalization of benefit are essential factors to inspire others, advance the process of continuous learning, and enhance the digital transformation.

Participants in the "DigitalFAST" initiative, held under "Pick new digital skills and insights this Ramadan" slogan, acquired new digital skills by learning how to take advantage of modern technologies to achieve digital transformation on the personal and institutional levels. The "TeachBACK" initiative, held under the slogan "Paths Altered by Inspirations … Lifelong Learning does not have an age", presented unique development stories that have been achieved by learners of different age and professional groups over the past years. The "One-Hour-Power" initiative, held under "From Leaders to Leaders" slogan, shed light on current topics and challenges in business and administration to explore future insights.
