The Leader Program helps high-potential Abu Dhabi government employees accelerate their leadership skills. It supports Abu Dhabi in creating a planned pipeline of successor leaders across all government entities.

The program builds leadership skills in three areas – leading self, leading others, and leading the future. It offers participants an opportunity to work directly with world-renowned experts in leadership development, as well as broaden their global perspective by learning alongside high-potential peers from various government entities, vertical industries, and public disciplines.
This unique and expertly designed program features a combination of learning methods, such as in-class training, coaching, leader-led dialogues, job rotations, conferences and events, and individual and group projects.

Program General Info
High-potential, Emirati Abu Dhabi government employees grade 3 who consistently demonstrate high performance in their entity.
A six (6) months learning journey, during which participants will:
-
Attend three (3) modules – each module lasts five (5) days (class or virtual)
-
Attend four (4) coaching sessions – each coaching session lasts sixty (60) minutes (virtual)

Complete an eight (8)-week job rotation in an entity of your choice (public or private)
This is a self-nomination program. Interested participants can submit their nomination through an Abu Dhabi School of Government ambassador within their entity.

Program Facilitators
Tracy Scott
Tracy will be a lead facilitator throughout the journey. She is a global thought leader, facilitator and principal designer, with 13 years of extensive experience in leadership development.
Tracy leads the BTS Coaching practice across the region and continues to engage with clients in Middle East and Africa. Current client engagements in the region include the Abu Dhabi School of Government, Almarai, SABIC, Schlumberger and many others.

Alex Kock
Alex is a Senior Director with BTS and heads up the ME operation. He is an expert in Strategic Capability building in Organizations and very often leads complex learning projects.
He has a diverse professional background in commerce and financial management and held various Executive positions before joining BTS. Since ‘98, Alex has been presenting financial, leadership, business and strategic management interventions around the world. Alex focuses mainly on the FMCG, Pharma and Retail Industries.

Chris Legg
Chris will be the co-facilitator. Chris has experience in a wide range of industries and has worked with a number of Fortune 100 companies around the world.
He has widespread experience in project management, management systems, competitive strategy, innovation, change management and capability building programs. Prior to joining BTS, Chris was in a leadership role at an international management consulting firm where he gained extensive experience in financial services, FMCG, manufacturing and telecoms.

Grant Newton
Grant will be a lead facilitator throughout the journey. He is a Senior Consultant for BTS in Middle East and Africa. Grant has an extensive training and facilitation background, having been in the industry since 1995.
He has facilitated all levels within client organizations, specializing in middle and senior level management. He can take complex concepts, ideas and models and simplify them into practical relevance. His passion is helping delegates learn about themselves and the wayt hey interact with the world in the most constructive way.

Jacovos is the co-facilitator. He has over 25 years’ business experience helping organizations improve performance. He integrates engineering and organizational development concepts.
He currently helps leaders in client organizations interpret strategy and engage effectively with others for the achievement of objectives. He draws on the fields of industrial engineering, organizational development, leadership development, innovation management, talent and performance management for strategy execution. His experience spans the private, public and NGO sectors.

Myrna Thabet
Myrna is the project lead and co-facilitator based in Dubai and is part of BTS MEA team. Myrna has a background in marketing research and data analysis, and has worked with FMCG and digital companies in analytic driven roles.
She currently is part of several leadership projects in UAE and Saudi, with clients such as Abu Dhabi School of Government, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Ma’aden Saudi Mining Company plus NGO sectors.
